Niagara Falls pair charged in connection to drugs, weapons, cash

A three-month investigation into illegal drug trafficking in Niagara Falls turned up a bit more with weapons and cash being seized at the same time.

Yesterday (July 12), Niagara Police raided a trailer on a residential property on Thorold Stone Rd. near Kalar Rd. and seized 4.3 grams of suspected carfentanil, 2.7 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, one replica rifle, one replica pistol, and $280 of believed crime cash.

Two people were charged at the scene.

Archer Grant Karr, 45, of Niagara Falls has been charged with two counts of illegal drugs for trafficking, one count of illegal weapon possession and one count of suspected crime cash under $5,000.

Jodie Lea Powell, 49, of Niagara Falls has been charged with two counts of illegal drugs for trafficking and one count of suspected crime cash under $5,000.

Both remain in police custody with a bail hearing later today (July 13) via video link to the courthouse in St. Catharines.
