Niagara Falls MPP on the mend after serious car crash on the weekend

Niagara Falls-Fort Erie-Niagara-on-the-Lake MPP Wayne Gates says he’s on the mend after being in a serious car accident on the weekend.

“(I’m) getting a lot of questions about a bit of a scare this weekend,” Gates tweeted. I’m all fine though! It was a reminder to take nothing for granted.”

“Thankful for the quick response of Niagara’s incredible first responders and healthcare workers.”

While never describing the particulars of the accident, Gates released this lengthy statement (below) on his Facebook account, in which he apologizes for any community events he may have missed and goes on to thank his NDP colleagues for filling the void in his absence.
