They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and it looks like Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates agrees whole-heartedly.

A school teacher friend of his, identified only as Jack, went the extra distance in mimicking the MPP, who’s turf also includes Fort Erie and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

“Can we all agree that my buddy Jack from Sacred Heart Public School won this year’s Halloween costume contest?,” laughed Gates on social media. “It’s like I’m looking in a mirror – he’s a better me than I am!”

He added, “If you see Jack in your neighborhood, do me a favour and give him an extra handful of candy.”

One constituent pointed out a potential value to Gates in the upcoming Provincial election this June.

“Between the both of you, it should help with knocking on doors for the next election. Will save you a lot of walking,” cracked the constituent. “My thoughts exactly!” replied Gates. “Think of all the doors we could do being in two places at once!” Here’s a side-by-side of the two. It’s up to the reader to decide which is really Gates.
