There’s a reason Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati wears those funky purple running shoes.

As the Mayor of a tourist town, he does a lot of running around.

Yesterday afternoon (July 20), he welcomed seven more businesses to the downtown core.

“It truly is so inspiring to see these small businesses adding their unique offerings to Queen Street and making our local downtown a fun place to visit,” Diodati said on his social media.

He hopped from place-to-place, shaking hands, giving fistbumps and, of course, cutting ribbons.

The new businesses were: Crazy Macaws Coffee Bar, The Dominion, Apsis Communications, Ronnie Don’s Ice Cream, The Painted Turtle Pottery Studio, Bake.Frost.Repeat and La Noire Beauty Studio.
