Niagara Falls man charged with trafficking, probation violations

A Niagara Falls man saw his motel room raided by police on Jan. 18, resulting in both drug trafficking and probation violation charges.

Following an investigation into illegal drug trafficking, Niagara Police descended on a motel room in the Lundy’s Lane near Montrose Road area of Niagara Falls with a search warrant.

In total, police recovered 18.6 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $2,000.

Todd Walter Petkovich, 59, of Niagara Falls has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with his probation order.

He was released pending a March 23 court date at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
