A Niagara Falls man has been charged with multiple break-and-enter offences following a Niagara Police investigation.

Police say the man was targeting stand-alone homes, condos and apartments. They said he had been seen gaining entry to apartments and then picking the door locks.

After identifying the suspect, police got a search warrant for the man’s Buckley Avenue and Crawford Place area home where they found evidence linking him to the break-and-enters dating back to March 2020, as well as a pair of brass knuckles.

Charged is Justin Andrew Ambursley, 42, of Niagara Falls with eight counts of break and enter to commit theft, possession of a prohibited weapon and failure to comply with a release order.

He was held in custody and released following a video bail hearing yesterday (July 27).

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Street Crime Unit detectives by calling 905-688-4111, extension 1022200.
