A 66-year-old Niagara Falls man is ready to rent an RV and head east after winning a second prize worth $63,048.40 in the May 13 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

David Giesbrecht, a husband and father, also won $2 on his ENCORE selection, bringing his total winnings to $63,050.40.

The heading-east-in-an-RV idea came to Giesbrecht as he noted he wants to see Canada and take it all in.

He said when he checked his ticket on the OLG app and learned he was a big winner, he was in shock and cleaned his glasses to make sure he was seeing correctly.

“My wife asked, ‘Did you win a free ticket?’ and I giggled.” When David told his family about his prize, they didn’t believe him.

“It’s nice to have extra spending money,” said the retiree, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “This will provide more freedom. It means we’ll be able to take a few more vacations.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Giant Tiger on Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls.
