Niagara Falls is getting a new pet supply store with thousands of products.
Ren’s Pets, a store founded in Canada back in 1975, opens a new shop in Niagara Falls this July. It will be their 43rd store in Canada. The store’s headquarters is in Guelph.
“Our Niagara Falls store is one we’re particularly excited about, as we continue to grow our store network in the area with our current neighboring store in St Catharines,” said Scott Arsenault, CEO at Ren’s Pets.
The new Niagara Falls Ren’s Pets store will be located at 7555 Montrose Rd. by Costco. It will feature over 8,000 products with aisles of high-quality dog and cat food, displays of treats and toys, plus a special grooming section in 8,300 square feet of space.
There will also be 16 doors or 32 feet of large walk-in freezers for raw and frozen pet food.
While online shopping has become increasingly popular, Arsenault believes pet owners want a physical shop.

“Pet parents are looking for a strong pet bricks and mortar offering, a place they can come in with their pets and truly be serviced along with doing things like weighing their pet, trying samples, asking for advice from our knowledgeable staff, having fittings for harnesses, collars or clothing, and socializing with other pet folks and their pups,” he said.
The store’s grand opening is on July 9. There will be a ribbon cutting at noon and celebrations with prizes and giveaways.
