Love them or not, the 144 consecutive days of fireworks over Niagara Falls is continuing this year after 2022’s trial run of the same length.

There’s at least one company that’s seeing a real positive in the colourful spectacle and is willing to get wet for a unique view.

Niagara City Cruises, owned by the Hornblower Group, is offering up a 40-minute Falls Fireworks Cruise so that cruise-goers can admire “the spectacle from the base of the Horseshoe Falls.”

“Nothing beats the experience of sailing to the base of the Falls, with a panoramic view of a starry sky, the iconic Niagara Falls skyline and, of course, fireworks that light up the sky,” says Mory DiMaurizio, COO of Niagara City Cruises.

“It’s a magical outing in the mist that enhances any trip to Niagara Falls.”

The Falls Fireworks Cruise will start next Friday (May 19) on the first day of the May 24 long weekend in Canada for Friday to Sunday service, adding May 22 (Victoria Day in Canada) and May 29 (Memorial Day in the U.S.) for special cruises.

Starting on June 16, the Falls Fireworks Cruise will sail daily until Labour Day on September 4.

The Falls Fireworks cruise boards at the Lower Landing of the Great Gorge and departs for the 40-minute tour every night at 9:30 p.m.

Guests will receive a complimentary mist poncho, as the cruise is considered a light-mist experience. Tickets cost $37.75 for adults (13+) and $24.75 for children.
