New Vietnamese Banh mi sandwich shop opening in Milton

There’s a new restaurant open in Milton where local residents can satisfy that urge for Vietnamese food.

Banhmister offers up an array of traditional foods at a price that won’t break the bank.

Popular snacks include spring or shrimp rolls, chilli wontons and sugarcane shrimp.

Banh mi sandwiches, which include pickled carrots daikon, onion and jalapeno, come in a variety of styles, from traditional ham to barbecue pork, lemongrass chicken, grilled beef, and miso lemongrass tofu.

There are also a wide variety of vermicelli bowls available, including meat lovers, or sugarcane shrimp with lemongrass chicken. Rice entrees can include pork chops, lemongrass chicken or beef stew.

Smoothies are available in jackfruit, durian, strawberry or mixed berry flavours.

Banhmister is located at 71 James Snow Pkwy. N. and is open daily until 6:30 p.m.
