New sushi restaurant opens in south Mississauga

If it’s sushi you crave, the newly-opened Hee Sushi Restaurant in Mississauga has plenty of variety to choose from.

The Japanese eatery, which has moved into the old Kravingz location at 1710 Lakeshore Road West, opened its doors for the first time on Thursday and specializes in unique combinations of sushi, rolls, and Japanese cuisine.

“At Hee Sushi, we hold pride in the variety of our menu and the countless amount of rolls to choose from,” the new restaurant posted on Instagram recently.

There are a wide variety of appetizers. Customers can try some Salmon Sashimi, or perhaps some Soft Shell Crab or Chicken Karaage. The Tuna Tataki with sweet vinegar soy sauce could also be of interest.

You can also grab a Miso soup or Mango salad.   

Customers can try a wide choice of lunch specials that are available up to 2:45 p.m. Each is served with miso and green salad.

Specials include the Sushi Lunch, which features eight pieces of assorted nigiri sushi and six pieces of California roll or you can order the Sushi, Sashimi, Roll Lunch that comes with four pieces of nigiri sushi, six pieces of assorted sashimi and six pieces of California roll.

Or try the Teriyaki Lunch with your choice of grilled chicken/salmon/beef with vegetables, rice and teriyaki sauce. The Tempura Lunch comes with three pieces of shrimp tempura, four pieces of veggie tempura and rice.

Other food choices include the Bulgogi Lunch, the Chicken Katsu or Don Katsu Lunch, or choose from Spicy Lunch Maki A or Spicy Lunch Maki B.

Customers can also select from the Sushi and Sashimi Combo or Roll Combo parts of the menu.

Dinner entrees include everything from Chicken Teriyaki to Kalbi and Spicy Bulgogi.

Customers can also grab sushi a lo carte, from sake salmon and kani crab meat to hotate scallop and ika squid. Or try a Poke Bowl or some Udon.

Sushi and Roll party trays are also available.

The restaurant is open six days a week. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday to Friday and noon to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
