A brand new location of Shake Shack is opening its doors this month in Toronto, and the opening day has now been announced for next week.

The American chain is known for their smash burgers, along with their crinkle cut fries and frozen custard. They’ve been taking Toronto by storm lately, opening up in Canada with a first Toronto location at Yonge and Dundas.

Since then, Shake Shack has opened other Toronto locations in Union Station, as well as at Yorkdale and at Yonge and Eglinton. Now, they’re gearing up to open their latest location yet, and it’s in one of the busiest and most bustling areas of the entire city of Toronto.

Shake Shack is opening their newest location yet in Toronto on King Street West, and people are already getting super excited about it. This will be the seventh location for Shake Shack overall in the Toronto area.

People around the neighbourhood have already noticed some eye-catching art going up in the windows of the space on King Street West, which was formerly home to beauty bar Her Majesty’s Pleasure.

It’s representative of the transformation of the space going on inside, which includes a massive floor to ceiling mural by world renowned artist Anthony Ricciardi. The mural creation on the walls features huge white hearts and the Shake Shack burger logo.

A post on Instagram announcing the opening date for the King Street West location of Shake Shack has garnered over 400 likes and tons of comments from people who can’t wait for the new location to open its doors.

“RIGHT BEHIND ME,” one person who might live or work in the King Street West area commented on the Instagram post announcing the opening date of the new Shake Shack in Toronto. “This is dangerous for my waistline.”

One person added to the conversation asking for even more locations of Shake Shack in the Toronto area, but in a more diverse and wide ranging selection of local neighbourhoods in the city. “We need one in Scarborough,” someone commented. “They’re all downtown.”

The new location of Shake Shack in Toronto on King Street West will be opening on April 23.
