New rolled ice cream shop opening soon in Hamilton

The rolled ice cream shop trend continues with a new shop opening in Hamilton soon.

Ice Flame Grill and Chill is opening a location soon at 620 Upper James St., Hamilton.

The shop specializes in the Thai street treat — rolled ice cream. Sometimes referred to as “stir-fried” ice cream, the rolls are prepared fresh on a frozen surface.

Ice Flame flavours include favourites like Chocolate Overload or Crunchy Kit Kat along with south Asian flavours such as Mawa Kulfi and Paan Dilbahar. They also sell shakes, juice and meetha paan (betel leaves filled with sweets).

Kinjal and Monil, the founders of the brand, worked at the same restaurant and before opening up the first Ice Flame in Brampton in November of 2020.

There is now a location in Mississauga and another opening soon in Kitchener.
