New restaurant and nightlife spot serving Detroit-style pizza and craft cocktails has opened in Oshawa

A new dining and nightlife spot blending elevated comfort food with a vibrant social atmosphere has opened in Oshawa.

The Hangout Bar and Lounge, located at 462 Taunton Rd. W., opened in January 2026.

The lounge offers an elegant setting, and its kitchen is led by a chef with more than 20 years of culinary experience.

The menu spans a wide range of comfort and international dishes, including Detroit-style pizzas, handcrafted burgers, artisanal wings, tacos, quesadillas and pastas.

Signature offerings include the Hangout Fiesta Detroit-style pizza, loaded with sausage, bacon, chorizo and pepperoni, as well as craft burgers such as the Motor City Burger and Chef Burger.

Guests can also find globally inspired dishes such as pad thai and butter chicken.

In addition to its food menu, the restaurant serves cocktails, mocktails, and craft beers, and plans to host weekly community car shows during the warmer months.

The Hangout Bar and Lounge is open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Sunday to Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Thursday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
