New pizza and chicken restaurant officially open in Mississauga

A pizza and chicken restaurant, that also has a deep roster of vegetarian offerings, has officially opened.

Doughboys Pizza & Chicken, which started out in London, Ont., is now serving customers in the Port Credit area at 152 Lakeshore Rd. E., east of Huronontario Street.

The restaurant’s specialty pizza offerings on its extensive menu include creations such as the Philly Cheesesteak, Mediterranean Bruschetta, Mexican Beef, Prosciutto + Goat Cheese (with a thin crust), and Mushroom Truffle. Another specialty is the Big Zac, made with seasoned ground beef, shredded bacon, tomato, white onion, dill pickles, cheddar and an in-house ‘Big Zac’ sauce.

The restaurant also has chicken wings, buttermilk-fried chicken strips, chicken sandwiches, and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

The vegetarian menu includes crispy tofu, tofu poppers, and a roasted vegetable sandwich. The latter is made from broccoli, tomato, peppers, onions, mushrooms, roasted garlic, green olives, baked with cheese and marinara, and served on a hot bun.
