New Openings: Philthy Philly's
Philthy Philly's is a brand new cheese steak sandwich and poutinerie spot located in the south end of Mississauga in the Clarkson neighbourhood. Mississauga is the fourth location for the brand. The others are located in Newmarket, Pickering and Whitby.
The quick service restaurant offers cheese steak and pulled pork sandwiches (8" or 12") and regular or large size poutines.
“By large, I mean colossal! You could feed four of me with the large poutine.”
"Philthiest Kitchen in Mississauga" is the tagline written on the resto wall and the operation is similar to most quick service restaurants where you place your order with the cashier then customize your sandwich by adding toppings of your choice at the prep station.
I tried the classic Philly cheese steak with jalapeno Monterey jack and the signature Philthy sauce (Forty Creek Whisky BBQ sauce), the big "ez" (steak, southwest chipotle, bacon) with provolone cheese and a colossal Montreal smoked meat poutine.
“The sandwiches are super juicy, super messy and full of flavour - extra napkins are a must!”
The poutines are made with fresh cut fries, real cheese curds and Philthy Philly's signature gravy. It's a great spot to satisfy your hunger pangs and filthy cheat meal cravings.
Food Menu: There are nine cheese steak sandwiches (the big Texan - steak or chicken, pulled pork, bacon, onion crisps) and four pulled pork sandwiches (sweet Memphis pulled pork and bacon) to choose from along with 20 types of poutine (breakfast poutine - egg, steak, bacon).
There are also 20 different types of sauces (southwest chipotle, red cream ale BBQ, chili lime, apple butter mesquite, Asian BBQ) and seven kinds of cheese that you can add to your sandwich in addition to a selection of cold ingredients.
