New Openings: Chop Steakhouse & Bar

Chop Steakhouse and Bar is another Canadian west coast restaurant concept to make its way over to the GTA and is located in a brand new building beside the Hilton Meadowvale in a 8,000 square foot space which includes a lounge and dining room. Three hours of free parking is available in designated spots.

Chop (Meadowvale) is the third location in the GTA out of a total of eleven for the company housed under the umbrella company Northland Properties which also includes a number of other food service brands including Moxie’s, Shark Club Bar and Grill, and Denny’s Restaurants. 

Unique for: Upscale steakhouse with a non-traditional steakhouse feel with a floor to ceiling glass wine cooler walls and about 15 flat screen televisions.

Concept: New school steakhouse with a Canadian west coast vibe with female staff dressed in the quintessential tight black dress or black and/or red if you’re behind the bar.

Menu: The menu includes steak and seafood with gluten-free options. Chop uses premium cuts of steaks, beef which has been aged for 28 days and seared then grilled at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. You will also find house-made soups, handmade breads and dessert on the menu. The drink menu includes wine, cocktails, martinis, scotch, whisky, and beer.

What’s Up and Coming? State-of-the-art patio scheduled to open in July 2015 which will include an 8-foot wide fire pit.
