New Oakville bubble tea store brews up opening deal for customers

Oakville’s newest bubble tea store has a deal for you to help celebrate its opening.

Mr. Sun International Tea Store’s Soft Opening was to run from Nov. 3 to Nov. 10, but has now been expanded to Nov. 24.

Customers can buy one and get another one for 50 per cent off at the new location, located on 380 Dundas St. E., Unit D6.

“Attention to all Oakville customers. Due to a lot of positive feedback, we are extending the Soft Opening Promotion until Nov. 24. Please come and enjoy our handmade tapioca.”

Mr. Sun originated from the popular Red Sun Tea Shop in Taiwan in 1999. It was the first to introduce drinks such as “Heineken Green Tea”, “Mr. Sun Special”, and “Cheese Milk Foam Oolong Tea.”

Mr. Sun is also known for its handmade tapioca. It contains 30 per cent less fat than traditional tapioca. More than 18 flavours were invented, including mango, strawberry, Japanese green tea and sesame and black sugar.

The new tapioca formula has less chemical additives and we made them fresh on site in a transparent environment, so that we can make sure our ingredients are fresh and healthy,” Mr. Sun said on its website. “Every single tapioca is carefully created with proper temperature, moisture level, procedure, and ingredients.”

Other products on the menu include Fresh Tea drinks and Chewy Drinks such as Caramel Pudding Milk Tea, Coconut Jelly Milk Tea and Grass Jelly Milk Tea.

There’s also Milk Foam Series drinks like Milk Foam Green Tea and Strawberry Cheese Milk Foam Black tea as well as Milk Tea Series drinks like Royal Earl Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Milk Tea.

There’s also freshly squeezed juice drinks, Yakult drinks and smoothies and slushies.

Mr. Sun is open seven days a week. It’s open from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
