For lovers of all things chicken, this new Mississauga restaurant is for you.

The Coop Wicked Chicken, specializing in a chicken-based menu and a uniquely vibrant interior inspired by the 80s and 90s, plans to open their newest location at 50 Burnhamthorpe Rd W in the Square One area.

The extensive menu features a variety of dishes such as chicken and waffles, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, burgers, poutines, tacos, fries, and more.

They also serve brunch on weekends.

The restaurant says their chicken is locally raised, kept fresh, and is then brined, bathed in buttermilk and hand tossed in their secret seasoning.

“Coop Wicked Chicken is where punk-rock meets rustic henhouse and where the food is always #tastyascluck,” says the restaurant on its website. “We are a 80’s & 90’s inspired nostalgia-loving restaurant open for lunch, dinner and boozy weekend brunches!”

No opening date has been confirmed just yet, but the restaurant held a job fair at the new location earlier this week.

Aside from the new Mississauga location, the chain also operates in Burlington, Hamilton, and Port Carling.
