New Mississauga burger joint serves up handcrafted favourites

One of Mississauga’s newest burger joints has jumped onto the city’s restaurant scene thanks to a passion for cooking ground beef.
Describing their restaurant as having “the best handcrafted burgers, wraps and shakes on the bloc,” the owners of Burger Bloc say on their website that love of food has a lot to do with it.
“The love for cooking, the love for meat, the love for burgers made us build a space where meat enthusiasts can experience the taste and flavour of freshly ground meat every day,” the owners said.
“We take pride in the fact that our meat is sourced from some of the best farms here in Ontario and then ground to perfection to give that fresh flavour and taste. Topped up with our house sauces, we strive to serve the best of burgers and wraps.”
Burger Bloc is located at 3870 Eglinton Ave. W., near Ninth Line, in Mississauga’s west end.
It’s open seven days a week, from noon to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday and noon to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The menu offers up, you guessed it, a wide variety of delicious burgers made all kinds of ways with all kinds of toppings.
The Classic Beef Bloc is a freshly ground six-ounce patty topped with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and Bloc Sauce.
Got an appetite for something more intricate or something bigger?
The Double Beef Bloc stacks two patties on the bun with the classic fixings while the Beef Butter Block (with garlic and herb butter), Loaded Beef Bloc, Swiss Mushroom Beef Bloc and Cheese Filled Beef Bloc take the flavours to another level.
Rounding out the menu is a variety of favourites including the Club Sandwich, Crispy Chicken Burger, Beyond Meat Burger (patty made from plants), Wraps and more.
A variety of side dishes is also available including Classic Poutine, Garlic Fries, Masaala Fries, Onion Rings, Sweet Potato Fries, Chicken Wings and more.
