New location allows for renewals of driver’s licences, health cards in Brampton

Brampton has a new location where residents can renew driver’s licences, health cards and Ontario Photo Cards.

The site operated by ServiceOntario is located inside Peel Region’s headquarters at 10 Peel Centre Dr., next to Bramalea City Centre.

Hours of operation for the new hub are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Our government is making life easier for Ontarians by developing solutions that enhance customer service excellence and strengthen our community presence in efficient and scalable ways,” said Stephen Crawford, Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. “Through our partnership with Peel Region, we are integrating municipal and provincial services into a single community hub — enhancing accessibility, improving the customer experience, and elevating service delivery.”

The new hub is part of a two-year pilot program meant to explore new ways to enhance customer service, optimize resources, and reduce wait times, according to information supplied by the provincial government.

“As one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada, Brampton has seen significant demand for ServiceOntario services, and this new centre will help meet the increased demand and provide residents with a more streamlined experience,” according to a government statement.  “Brampton has seen significant demand for ServiceOntario services, and this new centre will help meet the increased demand and provide residents with a more streamlined experience.”

Peel Region Chair Nando Iannicca said the project will combine provincial and municipal services under one roof.

“(It is) a major step forward in how we deliver services to our residents,” Iannicca said.
