For several months, people (including celebrities) have been anticipating the opening of Toro Toro Sushi + Poke, which specializes in “premium, fast-casual sushi and poke.”

You read that right, a number of celebrities, including David Hasselhoff, Sugith Varughese (Mr. Mehta from Kim’s Convenience), Colony Reeves from Selling Tampa and Georges St. Pierre, have all expressed their excitement about the new opening on social media.

Toro Toro Sushi + Poke, which has an existing location in Concord, Ont. will be opening its new Mississauga location at 4052 Brickstone Mews, unit 1.

The restaurant will officially open its doors to the public and have a soft opening on Saturday, Mar. 11.

The restaurant’s menu offers several options such as maki, nigiri, poke, sushi burritos, tacos and pizza and even aburi, which is flame-seared sushi.

A restaurant representative previously told insauga.com that Toro Toro’s soft opening was initially anticipated for late November or early December 2022.

And while it may have taken a little longer, users who have commented on their recent Instagram post about the soft opening have continued to express their excitement.
