A brand new restaurant for Italian food has now swung open its doors in Toronto, and it comes equipped with multiple interior spaces where you can feast on their traditional eats.
Enoteca Rossio is a new Italian restaurant serving a menu that emphasizes what is seasonal and traditional, with a range of breads, pasta, meats, seafood, dessert and of course, wine.
The restaurant that contains multiple spaces even encompasses a secret hidden speakeasy at the back. Enoteca Rossio is helmed by executive chef Andrew Capone and general manager Tiago Silva.
The main dinner menu at Enoteca Rossio consists of a selection of salads, small plates, pizza, risotto and pasta, meats, seafood and sides, and they make their own bread in house.
Pizzas include the Pancetta Croccante with potato crisps, crispy prosciutto, ricotta, parsley and rosemary oil, the Di Parma with fior di latte, basil pesto, Prosciutto di Parma, arugula, cherry tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil, and the Pesto Pollo with grilled chicken, sundried tomato, mozzarella, asiago and pesto sauce, and there’s also classic Margherita and pepperoni.
Pastas include fresh house made options, and range from dishes with veal or lamb ragu to a gluten-free penne dish. There’s also a lobster risotto on the menu. For mains, options include branzino, beef tenderloin and lamb chops.
The speakeasy menu offers a range of spuntini (smaller plates) that includes heirloom bruschetta, chicken liver mousse, arancini, beef tartare, calamari and seafood salad.
Cocktails include a Clarified Paper Plane, Hibiscus Pineapple Margarita and Cherry Cola Old Fashioned, and naturally, there’s an extensive wine list. As for dessert, you can choose from tiramisu, a pistachio cake with apricot syrup and chocolate mousse, or a lemon ricotta cake.
“Enoteca Rossio was created from a love of food that connects people to each other and to place. Every dish is guided by tradition, shaped by time, and served with care. The space is rooted in genuine hospitality. A shared vision of warmth, intention, and community shapes every detail, from the kitchen to the dining room,” reads the official website for Enoteca Rossio.
“Step inside and experience food prepared with patience and purpose, where flavour stirs memory and conversation finds its rhythm. After dinner, follow the glow at the back and join us in our speakeasy for a drink, a story, and an evening that unfolds at its own pace.”
Enoteca Rossio is now open at 1444 Dupont St.
