New Halton Police K9 Units ready for ‘paw-trol’

Police are getting some help patrolling the communities of Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.

Halton Regional Police Deputy Chief of Regional Operations Jeff Hill along with Deputy Chief of District Operations Roger Wilkie welcomed two new teams Friday to the K9 Unit.

Cst. Gregory Giliauskas and PSD Zeus and Cst. Erin Toth and Appollo are the newest additions to the K9 Unit.

“We were very excited to present them their badges today,” said Deputy Chief Hill.

Zeus and Appollo, both German Shepherds, are actually brothers.

“Looking forward to having our two newest K9 Unit’s out on Paw-trol,” Deputy Chief Wilkie said Friday on Twitter.
