Travellers looking for some heat and sun now have more options to get to “an oasis of colour” in the American south from Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Lynx Air, a relatively new ultra-affordable Canadian airline that first took to the skies in early 2022, is now offering weekly flights to Phoenix, Arizona from Pearson.
Airline officials took to social media last week to deliver news of the new flights, which are also being offered out of Calgary, where Lynx is based.
“The colours of the Wild West” await, Lynx officials said, adding travellers to the area can also “hit the greens, hike red rocks and soak in orange skies. An oasis of colour awaits in Phoenix.”
Lynx continues to expand its list of destinations. In August, the carrier announced five new flights per week to Los Angeles/Hollywood and that area’s world-renowned beaches and “world famous cinema and Hollywood stars.”
Calgary-based Lynx Air operates flights across Canada and the U.S. When it launched in April 2022, officials with the carrier said their goal was to make air travel accessible to all Canadians with ultra-low fares and a fleet of new Boeing 737 aircraft.
