No fryer? No problem. Because there’s a new Brampton-based restaurant serving flame-grilled meat dishes with a second and third location opening soon.
Now open on McVean Drive near Mayfield Road, Lazzat Grill & Shakes is a Brampton-born brand that uses lava stones to grill dishes with “no artificial flavors” and “no shortcuts.”
Created by a group of eleven Brampton entrepreneurs originally from five different countries, the menu includes flame-grilled kebabs, bowls and even a whole roasted chicken served with fresh ingredients.
Lazzat Grill & Shakes has no fryer on the meat line, and says it uses a deep fryer “for the fries, and for the fries only.”
“Every gram of protein we serve is flame-grilled. Never deep-fried, never pan-fried, never bathed in oil,” the restaurant’s website reads.
There are three house-made sauces available – the spicy Twisted BBQ, sweet Mango Sauce and the mild Lazzat secret sauce – with more being crafted, the restaurant says.

They also make handcrafted shakes blended from whole fruit, and use no syrups, powders or artificial flavour bases. They also have wraps, family platters, bowl+shake combos and much more.
“A mango shake at Lazzat has mango in it. A strawberry shake has strawberries. A banana shake has bananas. We say this plainly because the rest of the industry, very often, cannot,” the restaurant says.
Lazzat Grill & Shakes is now open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 11685 McVean Dr. in Brampton. And the restaurant says it is opening new locations soon at 143 Clarence St. and 6261 Mayfield Rd.
