A new feature has been announced for Air Canada’s points program.
Aeroplan members are now able to redeem their points for cruise packages with Air Canada Vacations, the airline said in a news release.
That includes Air Canada Vacations’ entire cruise portfolio of over 100 itineraries in ports including Fort Lauderdale, Hawaii, Mexico, Barcelona, Venice, Athens, Rome, Lisbon, London, Nice, and Naples, as well as river cruises in Porto and Prague.

“With cruise packages now available for redemption, members can choose to redeem for even more incredible journeys—from a relaxing river cruise in Europe to an expedition in Antarctica,” said Scott O’Leary, the vice president of loyalty and product at Air Canada.
Points can also be used for vacation packages, flight and hotel bundles, and tours.
“In addition, Aeroplan members already benefit from an extensive lineup of Aeroplan travel rewards which include accumulating Aeroplan points on the flight portion of their trip and earning up to 20,000 extra Aeroplan points on select Air Canada Vacations packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America,” the airline said.
There are more than nine million Aeroplan members worldwide.
