Metrolinx is adding new weekday express trains between Kitchener and Union Station in Toronto, and bringing back weekend trips on the Lakeshore East and West lines.
Starting April 27, there will be two new weekday counter peak express trips on the Kitchener line to “allow for further flexibility for GO riders,” Metrolinx says.
An additional eastbound afternoon trip from Kitchener will depart at 3:43 p.m. and arrive at Union Station at 5:17, while a new westbound morning trip from Union Station will depart at 8:49 a.m. and arrive in Kitchener at 10:26 a.m.
And starting on April 25, Metrolinx is adjusting GO bus and train service across the network to better meet customer needs. Some trains will depart up to two minutes earlier or later, depending on the station you are departing from.
Then on May 2, Metrolinx is bringing back 15-minute midday and evening weekend service returns on the Lakeshore East and West lines.
