New electronics buy-back store opens first Canadian locations in Mississauga and Brampton

There’s a new buy-back electronics store breaking into the Canadian market that promises “the highest possible cash offer” for your used tech in Mississauga and Brampton.

The chain called PayMore buys new, used, or damaged electronics for cash, and opened its first two Canadian locations last month.

The U.S.-based retailer says it’s an alternative to online marketplaces and provides “the best value for your gadgets without the uncertainty of mailing them or meeting strangers.”

“We provide cash on the spot, even for broken electronics,” the PayMore website reads, adding that it also offers free electronic recycling for devices with no buy-back value.

PayMore says it offers “a safe, hassle free and fun way for customer’s to sell their old electronics, protecting them from the dangers of in-person transactions and selling online.”

The chain is planning to open over 100 stores in Canada, starting with the Peel Region market opening a store in Mississauga and another in Brampton.

PayMore says the two Peel franchises are being run by Ontario native Richard Price. A deal to bring five stores to the GTA was announced in March of last year, and the expansion into Canada marks PayMore’s largest deal to date.

“We’re extremely excited to debut our international franchise program with Richard in Toronto,” PayMore Stores co-founder and CEO Stephen Preuss said back in March.
