New daily flights between two Canadian airports are set to launch soon.
Porter Airlines announced in a press release Wednesday that beginning on June 22, it will offer two non-stop flights each day between John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW).
“The route gives Hamilton travellers convenient access to Ottawa, while also connecting to 11 destinations through Porter’s YOW hub,” the release said.
“This follows the recent announcement of 14x weekly service between the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET) and Hamilton,” it added.
Porter now flies to 12 year-round and seasonal destinations from Hamilton, including in Canada, as well as in Florida and Mexico.
The flights between Hamilton and Ottawa will operate on the 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.

“Porter’s addition of service to Ottawa from Hamilton International highlights the momentum we’re building in the region and the increasing demand from both business and leisure travellers,” said Peter Tong, the chief executive officer of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
“With recent investments in airport infrastructure, including the addition of passenger jet bridges, we’re elevating the travel experience for every guest.”
Since starting operations at Hamilton’s airport in June 2025, Porter has doubled it’s domestic destinations from YHM, increasing from four to eight, the airport said.
