New COVID-19 outbreaks declared at Milton retirement residence and congregate living setting

Halton Region has declared two COVID-19 outbreaks in Milton this week; one at a retirement residence and another at a congregate living setting.

According to regional data, Martindale Gardens Retirement Residence, located at 45 Martin St. has two “role not specified cases” of the virus. Halton Region has also specified that the affected area is on the fourth floor of the residence.

Halton Region has also declared an outbreak at another undisclosed congregate living setting, which is being referred to as “Congregate Living – 114.”

“As with all congregate living setting outbreaks, Halton Region Public Health continues to work closely with the setting to manage the outbreak and ensure public health measures are in place,” said Halton Region Public Health in a statement to insauga about a previous outbreak at a congregate living setting in Milton.

“The name of the affected location is not shared publicly on our dashboard for privacy reasons and will be published only if Halton Region Public Health is unable to reach all individuals who may be at risk associated with the outbreak.”
