New COVID-19 cases in Durham rises slightly to 10, with three from Oshawa

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Durham Region took a small jump to 10 on Wednesday, but the total number of active cases in the region dropped to 68.

Three of the new cases were from Oshawa, with two each from Ajax, Whitby and Clarington.

All virus-related cases in Durham’s long-term care homes have been resolved and there is just remaining outbreak in a Durham Region school, with two students at Ormiston Public School in Whitby home self-isolating. An ongoing outbreak at an unnamed factory is still unresolved.

The rate of fully vaccinated Durham residents 12-and-over is now at 82.6 per cent.
