Costco Mississauga Milton Ontario open

The sign is up and the message is clear: Costco is coming soon.

Residents in northwest Mississauga, Brampton, and Milton have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the newest location of Costco, which is expected to open later this year or early in 2026, according to sources that spoke to INsauga.com.

As a matter of policy, Costco does not comment on new openings, but others in the know say that most hurdles have been cleared as the space at the former Rona at the SmartCentres Meadowvale Shopping Centre is being retrofitted to accommodate the wholesale giant.

Located on Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road near Highway 401, the shopping centre is also home to Walmart, Winners, Homesense and Staples.

This Costco will be unique for the area, however, as it will serve as a business centre.

A Costco business centre differs from a regular Costco retail warehouse by specializing in extra bulk goods that cater to businesses. There are only six of these concept stores in Canada, the closest being in Scarborough. All Costco card-carrying members can shop at the business centre.

The long-empty existing building contains 810,247 square feet of floor space and is surrounded by a large parking lot that serves the entire outdoor plaza.

The SmartCentres Meadowvale Shopping Centre website shows the location of the Costco, which will be situated in the northern part of the plaza near the exit ramp of Highway 401.

Mississauga already has three Costco locations: one on Rodeo Drive, another on Dundas Street East, and a third on Laird Drive.
