There’s a new change for one of the most popular loyalty points programs in Canada.
Specsavers Canada announced on Monday that it has entered into a national partnership with Loblaw’s PC Optimum.
It builds on Specsavers’ relationship with Loblaw, which saw 111 Specsavers locations open within Loblaw stores last year, a press release said.
“As one of Canada’s strongest loyalty reward programs, PC Optimum was a compelling strategic choice,” said Jane Hoban, the managing director of Specsavers Canada.
“Over the past five years, we have built strong momentum and as we continue to grow, our focus remains on making quality eyewear and eyecare more accessible and more rewarding for every community we serve across this country.”
PC Optimum members can now earn 10 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at all Specsavers locations in Canada.

Eligible purchases include glasses, contact lenses, and accessories.
Members just need to scan their PC Optimum app or card when making a purchase.
Points can be earned alongside existing Specsavers offers and promotions. There will be additional bonus opportunities through the PC Optimum app, the release said.
“With Specsavers joining PC Optimum, members can now earn points on eligible eyewear and accessories purchases, making it even easier to be rewarded for everyday spending,” said Lauren Steinberg, Loblaw’s chief digital officer.
Specsavers entered Canada in late 2021. Since then, more than 270 locations have opened across nine provinces and one territory, the company said.
There are more than 18 million PC Optimum members in Canada.
