The first order of business in Oshawa for new Trent Durham CEO-in-Residence Anita Erskine happens Thursday when the Ghanian media star, powerful girls’ education advocate and Trent graduate speaks to students on Passion, Purpose and Prosperity.

Erskine, whose role as CEO-in-Residence is to inspire and mentor Trent Business students in Peterborough and Oshawa through meetups, lectures and panel discussions, will be sharing her insight with students on building a purposeful career path.

An award-winning communications professional, broadcast journalist, television producer and CEO in her native Ghana, Erskine moved to Canada in her late teens and is a graduate (1999) from Trent’s Cultural Studies program.

She is the executive producer of Sheroes of Our Time and the former host and advisor of Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative, a philanthropic entrepreneur program, and has twice been ranked one of Africa’s 100 Most Influential Women.

The seminar will be held in Room B107, Building B at the Oshawa campus on Thornton Rd. S from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
