Lincoln has laid out the welcome mat for a new 62,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will bring 75 “highly skilled” employees to their neighbourhood.

AMSi Inc. will be setting up shop at an eight-acre parcel of land, near Lincoln’s Town Hall with an anticipated opening of late 2024 or early 2025.

“AMSi will be a great addition to our business community. Their innovative products will help many of the key sectors in Lincoln and across the country meet their business needs,” said Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton of the announcement.

AMSi Inc. produces a variety of products including modular buildings (E-houses), switchgear unites, protection and control cabinets, system integration, portable substations, specialty products and more.

Their products support a variety of industries, with the mining, renewable/non-renewable, and hydro sectors making up their core business clients.

“This is a win for Lincoln’s local economy, especially for our industrial sector, and translates to more highly skilled jobs for community members and increased tax revenues,” said JD Pachereva, Chair of the Town’s Economic Development and Planning Committee.

Currently, ASMi Inc. has a facility in St. Catharines.
