New Brampton bakery serves up ‘cheesecakes with swag’

Brampton’s very own “Cheesecake Boss” has opened a new storefront selling sweet treats in Bramalea City Centre.
The new cheesecake bakery is called Dray’z Cakez and was started by Brampton’s Andre Peynado – also known as the Cheesecake Boss – specialising in making “cheesecakes with swag.”
After losing his job as a financial advisor, Peynado to turned a passion for baking into a new online business by creating eye-catching and jaw-dropping confections. But now with a brick-and-mortar storefront in Bramalea City Centre, Bramptonians with a sweet tooth have a new way to get their hands on some Dray’z Cakez creations.
“Dray’z Cakez is me, Dray’z Cakez is love, Dray’z Cakez is swag,” Peynado says in a video posted to the bakery’s Instagram account that now has over 3,000 followers. “Traditionally cheesecakes only have about three to four ingredients, mine usually have six to seven.”

Dray’z Cakez has a wide variety of treats to try, from classic flavours like a Decadent Strawberry cheesecake to more modern creations like Cookies & Cream cakes, Strawberry Shortcake Donuts and tropical Cherry Chip and Mango Colada cupcakes.

Peynado said he makes his “over the top” cheesecakes with a twist, and Dray’z Cakez also has vegan and vegetarian options available, as well as cupcakes, brownies, cake pops and cookies.
Dray’z Cakez is located on the second floor of the Bramalea City Centre at 25 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton, across from Hudson’s Bay.
