New batches of mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus found in Brampton

Two additional batches of mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus, bringing the summer total in the city to three.

This week, Peel Public Health collected positive batches near the intersections of Sandalwood Pkwy. E. and Bramalea Rd. as well as McLaughlin Rd. S. and Steeles Ave. W.

Last week, a positive batch was found at Chinguacousy Rd. and Williams Pkwy.

To minimize the chances of West Nile Virus in your vicinity, make sure there is no standing water.
