A restaurant and nightlife spot that has been teasing its opening for a while now has now opened its doors, and it’s bringing all the fun and flavour from morning to evening.

Charlie Social House aims to centre around just what its name says: the social element of a restaurant and bar that functions not only as a local watering hole, but also as a gathering space for the local community.

From brunch to lunch, dinner, happy hour and late night drinks, Charlie Social House intends to be a Jack of all trades, and also provide regular social events where people can hang out and interact.

There are a number of menus at Charlie Social House, revolving around fun, accessible foods that get the party started. In the same way that the menu covers the whole day, it also takes you around the whole world with influences from across the globe.

For example, for appetizers you can opt for spring rolls, a spice bag, samosas, quesadillas and bang bang shrimp. Charlie Social House also offers a trio of yam fries, waffle fries and onion rings for the indecisive eaters, as well as nachos topped with a whole pound of cheese for the dairy fans.

The restaurant also serves a range of salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and pastas.

For mains, the menu keeps it globally inspired with options such as bangers and mash, tandoori chicken, steak frites and eggplant parm. Finish everything off with Italian tiramisu or New York style cheesecake.

For the thirsty, there are towers of margaritas and mojitos, pitchers of sangria, as well as beer towers and beer buckets. Cocktails include an orange creamsicle martini with vanilla vodka, orange liqueur, orange juice, cream and vanilla syrup, a Reese’s peanut butter espresso martini with Skrewball whiskey, chocolate liqueur, Bailey’s and espresso, the Barbie in London with
vanilla vodka, guava puree, lychee syrup, strawberry puree and lemon juice, and a purple ube colada with Havana Club white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, cream and ube syrup.

Looking for something to do? Charlie Social House is currently hosting trivia every Monday night.

Charlie Social is currently operating with hours that extend from 11 in the morning all the way to 2 a.m., so it’s pretty much there for whatever you need at practically every hour of the day.

Charlie Social House is now open at 17 Fort York Blvd. where Fox & Fiddle Cityplace used to be.
