A fusion of breakfast at any time of the day and authentic Spanish cuisine will debut next month in Mississauga.

Chef Humberto Sanchez, who has earned much acclaim as the operator and owner of Bar Catalina, is opening a café in the city. Cafe Panchita will open next month in Port Credit at 152 Lakeshore Rd. E. (at Hurontario). It will be just down the street from Bar Catalina, which recently revealed a redesigned patio.

The café is promising all-day breakfast, a robust espresso beverage menu, a variety of salads for their July opening, and an artisanal bakery later this year.

The bakery will feature brioche croissants, pastries and specialty breads such as sourdough, and homemade sodas.

Sanchez’s culinary CV includes involvement with with a 3 Michelin-star restaurant in Madrid, Spain, as well as a skein of appearances on Food Network TV series such as Chopped Canada and Fire Masters.
