Nearly 6,000 Alectra Utilities customers in Hamilton are without power Tuesday morning. The hydro company says the issue is still under investigation.

Nearly 6,000 Alectra Utilities customers in Hamilton are without power Tuesday (May 31) morning.

The hydro company says the issue started at around 10:30 a.m. and it is still investigating the cause.

The limited outage is affecting customers in the area of Binkley Rd. to East St. North from Lower Lions Club to Fallsview Rd. in Dundas.

Nearly 6,000 Hamilton hydro customers without power Tuesday morning

Hydro is expected to be restored by 11:30 a.m.

The outage comes about a week after Hamilton and parts of Ontario were rocked by a deadly storm that killed at least 10 people and left some residents without power for days.
