Nearly 2400 homes and businesses in Burlington without power due to storm damage

Almost 2400 residents of Burlington are without power after severe storms overnight caused tree branches to hit wires and damage hydro poles.
Burlington Hydro reports that 2343 customers are currently without power due to the storm. The three separate outage sites are all around the Roseland neighbourhood.
One outage is described as a broken pole affecting 396 customers. The estimated time for power restoration is 2 p.m.
The other two outage sites are described as ‘T-storm/Tree-line down’ affecting 1947 customers and have an estimated power restoration time of noon.
UPDATE: Burlington Hydro has reassessed damage sites and updated the time of power restoration.
Roseland outages: With the extensive damage to equipment in the Roseland area, the ETRs have been reassessed. The outages near Guelph line & Gary Allen high school are now 4pm. The outage on Hart road is now 9pm. We apologize to customers for the inconvenience. Updates to follow.
