Nearly 1,500 customers without power in Hamilton

Nearly 1,500 Alectra customers are without power tonight as an outage gripps part of the city.

Alectra reported the outage shortly after 9:30 p.m September 7. At that time 1,451 homes and businesses were without power around Stonechurch Rd E & Upper Wentworth St.

Repair crews had been dispatched by the time of the announcement and Alectra estimates power will be back on by 1:30 tomorrow morning.

The outage currently affects the Kennedy East, Alison and Chappel East neighbourhoods, collectively a large section of the city’s southend.
