Near freezing temperatures prompt frost advisory for Greater Toronto Area

Another frost advisory has been issued for southern Ontario.

Temperatures may fall to near the freezing mark early Thursday morning, particularly for areas inland from the Great Lakes, Environment and Climate Change Canada said in the advisory issued on Wednesday.

Frost may damage frost-sensitive fruit trees and vegetable plants.

“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” the advisory stated.

The frost advisory is in effect for areas around the GTA, including parts of Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington. It also extends to the Niagara Region and southwestern Ontario.
