A Burlington man is $100,000 richer after saying ‘Yes’ to Encore.

Sean Lahey, a 52-year-old father of two, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Aug. 17, Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

Lahey said he was very surprised after checking his ticket on the ticket checker at the store.

“I was shocked and in disbelief,” he said when he was picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

“I texted my wife and she thought I was joking. She did not believe me!”

He plans to put his windfall into savings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Husky on Plains Road in Burlington.
