A music instructor who has provided private lessons to students in the GTA is facing charges after a young person was sexually assaulted.

York Regional Police said in a news release on Wednesday the Richmond Hill man was charged last Friday with four sexual offences after a minor came forward with allegations they were sexually assaulted.

According to police, the young victim “took part in a youth orchestra and attended private music lessons where (the suspect) was an instructor.”

Investigators added the man charged is known to have provided private music lessons in the Greater Toronto Area.
