For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 140 character:

We are rock n roll & hip hop. Sometimes we get funky. Sometimes we get soulful. Sometimes we get heavy. Sometimes we get sexy.  We sing, we rap, we play guitar, we play keys, we play drums and we play bass. Think of the Roots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, and Erykah Badu. But don’t take it from us, the listeners decide, so have a listen.

Ten years from now your band will be….

Writing a musical, writing an album, playing a live show in Pompeii, listening to Crossword tell a pun or joke, listening to Scott hit things with other things, watching Tacha arobercise, waiting for Jose to get ready, and watching Alfred eat.

If you could go open up for any artist on tour right now who would it be?

Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, The Eagles, Kayne West – In no specific order.

So, what’s your favourite thing to do when you aren’t doing your music?

Some favourite things we like to do: Baking/Cooking, Eating, Listening to music, Learning, Travelling.

What is your Mississauga connection?

Alfred Chow, guitarist (raised in Mississauga) and our lovely friends from the Mississauga Arts Council and insuaga.com.

Zohra Zoberi, our spoken word poet collaboration partner.

What’s your favourite place in Mississauga to perform and why?

Celebration Square, The Living Arts Centre & Masonic Lodge back in the day when it was still around.

Where do you draw inspiration from when you write your lyrics and what’s your favourite part about the process?

We draw inspiration from others, as different paths add perspective to the emotions and events we experience in our own lives. Inspiration also comes from how we’re feeling in the moment, our state of mind, as well as the culture that we see in media.  Favorite part of the process is piecing together the puzzle that is all the words that make a great verse, chorus, hook, rhyme, tag, etc… That moment of, eureka! How did we come up with that?

Who are your favourite musicians? Why?

Tony Williams – Favourite drummer.  He plays with passion and emotion with great emphasis on technique, feel and creativity.

Michael Jackson – He is pure natural talent and persevered regardless of any negative light shown on him. His talent could never be trumped.

Josh Homme –  He’s in everything and anything that rocks hard.

Stevie Wonder – Despite his circumstance he is one of the most talented multi instrumental musicians out there. Along with being a great era-defining songwriter and creator.

John Frusciante – Just amazing.

What are five things your band can’t live without?

1. Each Other 2. Stereo in the tour van 3. Respect for each other 4. A Stage 5. Artists/musicians that inspire us

What’s the coolest gig you ever did? Why?

Coolest gig we’ve every played was in a little town called Dawson City in the Yukon. Amazing and supportive crowd. When we finished at 2am, it was still sunny out.

Anything you want to plug?

Please come see us play on November 29th at The Velvet Underground in Toronto. Along side with the amazing band ‘Two Crown King’. And afterwards please stay and buy our merchandise and be our fans, cause without that, we won’t have anyone to play music to and we’d be poor.
