Multiple trucks respond to house fire in Brampton

A house fire in Brampton prompted a multi-truck response and caused a road closure in a residential area as crews worked to contain the blaze.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services responded shortly after 2 p.m. to reports of a house fire in the area of Torbram Rd. and Australia Dr., a residential area near Sandalwood Heights Secondary School in Brampton.

Crews have extinguished the fire and are performing ventilation on the home.

There are no physical injuries reported.

Motorists and residents are asked to avoid the immediate area as police have blocked off part of the road in front of the home. Brampton Fire does not specify what road the home is on.
