Multiple tow trucks were burned in a suspected arson fire in Brampton on Monday.
People were spotted setting the tow trucks on fire at a yard in the Rutherford Road and Glidden Road area at approximately 3:30 a.m., a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
The people, possibly four to five individuals, fled in an unknown direction before officers arrived, police said.
When fire crews arrived, multiple vehicles were engulfed in flames, according to news reports. Reports indicate that the fire occurred at a business at 250 Rutherford Rd. S.
There were no injuries reported, police said.
Police said they are investigating this incident as a suspected case of arson.
At this stage, no suspect descriptions or identifying details are available. The investigation remains ongoing.
