Police are investigating after multiple schools received threats in the Niagara Region on Thursday.
Several threats were received by multiple schools in the region, Niagara Regional Police said on Thursday morning.
Police said the threats were not credible, but officers are actively investigating the incidents.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we are working with school boards to ensure safety,” police said.
The Niagara District School Board said police responded to eight of their schools.
“We are currently working closely with Niagara Regional Police, who are on-site at eight of our schools responding to a potential threat,” the board said on X. “Schools are beginning to be cleared by police. The schools impacted will receive direct communication as new information becomes available.”
